Wi‑Fi won't connect

Safe basic checks when a device can't get online over Wi‑Fi.

  1. First, a safety check: is there any burning smell, smoke, sparking, or hot/visibly-damaged hardware? No, nothing physical
  2. Is Wi‑Fi turned on, and are you trying to join the correct network? Wi‑Fi is on and it's the right network
  3. Restart your router: unplug it, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, then wait about two minutes. Still no connection

Restart the device you're connecting from, then try again.
